Today is the four year anniversary of the start of a 6 day hospitalization. B12 diagnoses was made. At the hospital I was in they only measure to 150 on the low end so I have no idea what my level actually was.

One hematologist stated I could have made it 3 weeks but not 4 without dying.

Was given two blood transfusions and two saline solutions. Would have been in a nursing home except for COVID.

Treatment was 8 weekly 1mg Cyanocobalamin then 1 mg of Cyanocobalamin and Folic acid daily. started self treatment at 90 days. Following Chandy's protocol which is 30+ years old.

We all experience the symptoms of B12 deficiency differently and the cause is always unknown. Other than surgery or non-supplemented Vegetarian diet. Note: Consuming grains and legumes that are processed in a factory by spraying supplements during processing is not 'better' it is a unhealthy life style. See higher incidence of strokes.

We all are treated or self treat differently.

We all have different results.

We all choose what we consider works

I self treat to allow my body to heal itself and B12 is only part of how I choose to make that happen. Supplementation is just part of my process.

Using the diagnosis criteria for B12 deficiency I no longer would be correctly diagnosed with B12 deficiency. I will use the knowledge accumulated about suplimentation to continue to design ways to allow my body to heal.

I am going to chase waterfalls today while someone I love very much does the same in Scotland. Part of my process. Self-treating with supplements is adjudicative to my life not my life. I have never been B12D I experienced it.

I will post the protocol that led to my Lazareth like recovery once it has been long enough to be definitive. One major principle I use is EOD is one gram per 6.5 months and is not rationally justified to heal a body experiencing severe symptoms of B12 deficiency. Just because numbers and medical terms are used in no way means it is scientific.

Hi Wiz

What an amazing recovery you have made from such a desperate and scary place. I dread to think what you would be experiencing now and how much more you would have suffered if you had not had the courage, insight and determination to explore and trial different and alternative recovery options.

I for one have definitely benefited from your pioneering spirit and approach to recovery. I have learned so much from you.

This phrase sums up PA for me “I have never been B12D I experienced it.” This illness is not a label that you can forget has been applied because we experience the effects daily and they affect every aspect of our being.

I look forward to the day you feel ready to post your protocol as I no doubt will find great value and insights which I can apply to my recovery.

I hope you take a moment to congratulate yourself on what you have achieved and to recognise how many others you will have helped, me included, who were able to piggyback on your progress.

Enjoy your waterfall chasing and I hope you see rainbows too!

🤗🤗🤗

This is from my post Three Years In.

"If I inject 1 mg of methylcobalamin and either 1 mg of cyanocobalamin or hydroxocobalamin 4 times a day and take 50 mg of PSP twice a day along with other supplements and improve weekly. This I have been only doing consistently due to sourcing issues for two months."

I am glad I came across that as I know know I only have been self treating at all successfully for 1 year two months. The rest of the time was simply feeling less worse.

The chasing waterfalls did not happen. I did some stuff and got ready to go. I ate in the sun and then slept. I thought I might be able to sleep and did so for 2.5 hours. Got up an did a few things then then ate in the sun and was in good warm sun for three hours. Came home and worked in the yard until 9:00 pm

My thought process was that I could chase waterfalls and enjoy it. However being only 10 days into my changed protocol and the last three days I have added just an injection that I needed the rest. It was a good decision.

It is the bane of my existence that I can not emotionally grasp how much rest and sleep I need so my body can heal. Does not help that I had to go without sleep for 2 years to have any kind of life at all when smoldering my cells.

It is helpful for me to write and express. That others find my expressing helpful in their self treatment is amazing to me.

I am a apply principles type of guy not a check box monkey. Except when the answers are known and then I am very good at being a check box monkey.

I have found that B12 at a higher amount is helpful to me. Currently 6mg 5-6 times a day.

I have found that TMJ/Betaine is as importnt as B12 for me currently 27 grams per day spread over 5-6 doses.

I take a nitric oxide supplement to reduce my blood pressure.

I take 500mg of NAD 5-6 times per day. Due to the incredible

results of taking that I am considering taking 10,000 mg of lion main per day.

I take zinc 30 mg once a day,

I take 1 g of folic acid 5 to 6 times a day.

I take 300 mg of B1 Benfotiamin 5 to 6 times a day.

I followed this protocol and the results will not be known until winter has come and gone.

`"We suggest 5,000 units of D3 along with 100mcg of K2 the first week. The second week, you'll increase the D3 to 10,000 units. You can continue with 100mcg of K2. Or, you can increase to 200mcg. Either is fine. Be sure that you're taking D3 and K2 at the end of a meal (preferably breakfast) that contains at least 14 grams of healthy fats.

We suggest starting with 200 mg magnesium glycinate about an hour before bed each night for the first week. Increase to 500mg each night after that. After a month of taking 500mg, we suggest adding magnesium malate earlier in the day (and continue with the glycinate). Magnesium malate can be taken at the same time as K2 and D3 as long as your breakfast didn't include foods rich in calcium (and as long as it's separated from medication by the appropriate amount of time). Magnesium and calcium should be separated by an hour."

I don't mind sharing this with you as I know you do be able to evaluate rather than see my work as instruction or advice.

I have never had any digestive issues other than when supplementing and those issues resolve as my neurological system heals. I work with that and not any bio gut information.

I am staying with this suplimentation for a while and then will evaluate. I am emotionally waiting for winter and seeing how that goes once it gets here.

Due to my systematic methodology I know how each supplement effected by body. I and no one else knows why. I can in the future eliminate any supplement and have a rational way to determine if it is still needed. I need to establish a baseline which is hard as I keep improving.

I am currently using B12 at a 6 mg per ml consideration and separating each dose by 10 min. This is critical to my healing.

That is the best description of my protocol I want to put the energy into doing right now.

Ironic that 8 years ago I studied Vitiman D without knowing about B12 and determined that taking Vitiman D did nothing but give you a good blood test. So I went to Ecuador twice. Once for 6 months. It may be I was correct and that D3 with K2 is different. We will see.

I am in the I am sick of all this and having a hard time doing what it takes to make it happen. A reasonable emotional response.
