Covid effect

Has anyone found that having the latest Covid and flu vaccine has suddenly led to the need for an extra injection of B12? It may be coincidence but I had 3days of feeling rotten and then gave in and had an extra dose.I normally have fortnightly injections.

Apart from two sore arms for a few days, I was fine. But then everyone is different.

Many have seen this effect with Covid or the vaccines. Injecting a bit more often for a while is usually what helps.

I did my B12 jab a few days earlier than normal and have been using my spray everyday, have also reported online on the Yellow Card side effects report

I started feeling rotten two days after my jabs too. Spent the next three weeks doing practically nothing. All symptoms exacerbated and spent three days in bed. Feeling bit better now after four weeks, but still not right. I never had any reaction to them before.

Thank you,Chickens44.That sounds grim and hope you feel better soon. The extra B12 has helped me a bit but still a bit wobbly.

No, the only side effect for me was the traditional sore arm.

Some of my friends have complained about feeling rotten after the latest COVID/flu vaccines. Unfortunately, I got COVID before the new vaccine was available, so I am waiting 3 months to have one.

Thank you for your reply Hockey Player. That was bad luck catching Covid before the protective jab.I have been very fortunate in not having caught Covid so far .I hope your dose was mild and you are recovering quickly.3mths seems a long time to wait for your next Covid jab. But I know most surgeries have varying opinions on this.Every good wish.

Getting COVID provides natural immunity, so they recommend waiting that long for a vaccine. I had a very mild case.

vaccines are meant to cause a reaction in the body ,aka some inflammation , so it would seem logical that more b12 would be utilised along with other nutrients to calm inflammation . I’ve heard people say they up their intake of supplements like vitamin c and B12 a few days prior to vaccines to offset any effects .

Thank you Lucy.I understand the logic and I did take a earlier dose of B12 but still not enough to cope with reaction from both flu and Covid injections at the same time.Best wishes.
