I am going to start my study on antibiotics. Has anyone else already done this work? I am being lazy and hoping someone else has done some work and is willing to share.
I am starting with the assumption that if antibiotics are appropriate then those in the medical field in general would not know.

I’m still not sure I understand. We know that certain antibiotics can affect those with PA. Nitrofuratoin lowers B12 and Trimithoprem lowers folate. I myself had a huge crash after surgery and then post surgical infections and antibiotics which involved a long course of nitrofuratoin. Having had my PA just about controlled before with 8 weekly injections I crashed into being unable to walk properly. Three years on I’m on twice daily injections and still improving. Nitrofuratoin clearly says to not be taken by those with PA and yet it’s still prescribed. My understanding is that it oxidises the B12 in the body thus rendering it useless. I for one could have done without it! Good luck in your explorations.
Antibiotics can be life saving. But there is danger to overuse or taking some and not finishing the dose. In those cases, the antibiotic resistant germs can survive and it is harder to get rid of those. I think already there are some germs resistant to most antibiotics. We have bacteria that live inside us that are very important parts of our body. Antibiotics will completely mess up your gut biome and throw it off balance. It is better to not mess with that unless you have something really serious that requires treatment with antibiotics.
Sorry maybe I should have stated I am familiar with general knowledge of antibiotics and the basic knowledge that all bacteria mutate to survive and thrive in any environment including one that includes antibiotics.
I think you do not understand that the problem of mutations caused by misuse and overuse is a public health issue and not specific to treating an individual other than not misusing or over using. That is one of my reasons to study. I am not studying the environmental/public health issues.
>>Antibiotics will completely mess up your gut biome and throw it off balance. It is better to not mess with that unless you have something really serious that requires treatment with antibiotics.
That is a major oversimplification.
>>Antibiotics can be life saving.
I am aware that the discovery of penicillin was a major breakthrough as most people are.
I was asking if anyone had done any studying not an elementary/simplistic overview.
