Purchasing Hydroxocobalamin Ampoules UK

Hello All,

Just wondering if anyone can advise where is the best place to source hydroxocobalamin vials from in the UK, please (plus syringes)? I found a website which was really reasonably priced (£13 something for 5 vials), then discovered that was only if you were a registered pharmaceutical practice :(

I notice people like Superdrug offer B12 injections at £29 a time - not feasible for anyone who requires several injections weekly, unless money is no object. Found advice posted by a hospital about self-administering injections - for the benefit of people using nitrous oxide recreationally (as it is extremely damaging to the nerves, apparently)!

Are the NHS supplying these free of charge to users under these circumstances? Why can't patients with PA be prescribed them too, if this is the case? Very frustrating!

You can only obtain injectable B12 on prescription in U.K . People on this forum who are mostly P.A. patients, both diagnosed and undiagnosed, get their necessary ampoules from German online Pharmacies , which are excellent. B12 ampoules are an over the counter item in Germany . About €10.00 for a pack of 10 ampoules .

I’ll post some information for you .

Needles , syringes etc from medisave.co.uk

Thanks so much for the helpful information. I've got a few packs in my basket now!! (from versandapo.de) - can you tell me how long they usually take to arrive, please? I'm away at the moment (for about another 11 days) and wonder if it's worth having them delivered to where I'm staying or get them sent to my home address.

Coincidentally I’ve just ordered from Versandapo . It’s usually 4 working days . They email me yesterday to say my order was delayed . but just heard that it’s on its way . You should certain get any order within 11days. !

How to obtain B12 ampoules ( for U.K. patients)

As B12 ampoules for injection are strictly prescription items in U.K., we are forced to obtain them from reliable German online pharmacies. These pharmacies are strictly controlled by the German health authorities .

These are the different brands of B12 depot ( Hydroxocobalamin) ampoules that are obtainable

PANPHARMA ( formerly Rotexmedica) , 1mg x 1ml ampoules

Reference no. 16199653 , in packets of 10 . These are the most popular ampoules.

—————————————————————————————————————————————————

HEVERT 1mg x 2ml B12 depot ampoules

Packets of 10 ref no. 06078368

HEVERT 1mg x 2ml B12 depot ampoules

——————————————————————————————————————————————————

PASCOE. 1.5 mg x 1ml B12 depot ampoules packet of 10 ref no 07568672

PASCOE 1.5x 1ml B12 depot ampoules , 10 x 10 packets ( 100 ampoules ) ref.no.07568695

Buying a pack of 10 Pascoe packets of 10 (100ampoules ) halves the price per packet compared to buying a single packet ' BUT unless you inject regularly, say once a week , or more often , you run the risk of having ampoules left , past the use-by-date , as that date is usually 2 years hence .

———————————————————————————————————————————————————

These companies also make B12 Cynocobalamin ampoules. ( they are called just B12) If you want Hydroxocobalamin you need B12 DEPOT .

The following pharmacies are in German so you may need to use Google Chrome for translation .

versandapo.de sell all 3 brands , but of late keep running out of Panpharma . There is an opportunity to leave your email address , and they will let you know when they are out of stock .Then you need to order quickly .

Best to register , then you can take advantage of their points system.

Using Google Chrome will translate for you .

When filling in your address you MUST FIRST OF ALL, ENTER YOUR COUNTRY ( on the drop down list ) UNITED KINGDOM OR VEREINIGTES KÖNIGREICH . This is important with all the German online pharmacies , otherwise your postal code and the rest of your address will not be accepted .

Payment by card , PayPal or Bank Transfer .

Also the following

apohealth.de Obtainable in English - Click on Union Jack .

juvalis.de

apotheke-marienbrunn.de ( also deliver to Australia and New Zealand .)
