When I was really unwell with B12 deficiency, I was prone to infection and slow to heal.

A couple of times, I needed antibiotics. From what I can remember, once or twice a gum infection/ abscess and again for GP to rule out SIBO as a problem (raised MMA). On three occasions, with different antibiotics, the result was the same: within a couple of days, I was unable to lift my head easily due to vertigo and had a constant headache.

Some antibiotics are known to deplete B12 - Trimethoprim often warned against here ! - mine were Metronidazole and Doxycycline. Have a look for a list and check if there is a known depletion.

I have a list from University of Maryland Medical Center: umm.edu/health : Drugs That Deplete: Vitamin B12 (Cobalamin) and one from drugs.com/drug-interactions.

I also think this hot and humid weather can affect some people here.

Thank you Cherylclaire I do feel I need more frequent injections as in the antibiotics may be depleting B12 quicker so would you think I should increase everything until course is complete .thank you for the list

Recently I had to have 3 lots of antibiotics within a month for a tick bite and a UTI. Augmentin then Fosfomycin. I was ok with the first course but then had that same nasty headache and started to develop gastritis, I guess from the disruption to gut flora. I resumed probiotics and increased injection frequency, and thankfully everything settled down within a couple of weeks. Hope you feel better soon.

It is worth a try.

Once the course is finished, probiotics will help to reintroduce your "good bacteria".
