I'm going to take the medichecks pernicious anemia test.
They don't seem to say anything about fasting beforehand, but I know that sometimes it can be better to do so even if not advised.
What time of day, and/or fasting state, should I take this test?
I'll be going to a clinic for a blood draw and it's quite a drive away, and if it's fasting then I'd be driving through rush hour traffic too, so quite a journey. But I will definitely do it, if it means getting more accurate results.
If not, is a mid morning appointment OK, like 11am, after a hearty breakfast around 7.30am?
Or what would be ideal?
I can't help thinking that surely all these blood values would be affected by recent food intake.
There are 20 blood tests that will be done, which I have listed below.
Many thanks.
