Numbness after methyl injections

Hello everyone,

I recently switched from cyanocobalamin to methylcobalamin.

The first few injections I felt euphoric and normal again, had wake up symptoms like tingling, twitches and burning pain.

But as I continue to inject, it seems like the effect has dulled and now I have more numbness than anything else, is this normal?

I had the numbness while I was on cyanocobalamin and it went away during the brief period of euphoria. But it came back afterwards.

So then I decided to switch back to cyano for awhile and when I came back to methyl I had the euphoric feeling again but slightly less so this time.

The reason why I switched from cyano to methyl is because while it helped for many of my symptoms, it didn't help completely and it was like as if I had reached a plateau of it not working anymore.

When I first had the cyano injections almost a year ago, I did experience wake up symptoms and it was working until it didn't.

So my question is, is this numbness normal or am I missing something?

Thanks in advance.

hello QianYunxi and welcome to this forum, I will try to answer your post from my experience.

I think that the central nervous system notes the difference between medications, it has if you like a jolt, hence the euphoria you experience. But this naturally diminishes over time. The CNS recognises these medications now.

According to research Methylcobalamin is better for peripheral neuropathy.

But it does not suit everyone. It like it. I inject hydroxocobalamin and methylcobalamin daily to cover all symptoms.

Initially when I started s.i. on a low daily dose of hydroxocobalamin I felt good, balanced and curling and numbness in toes went.

When I substantially increased injections with hydroxy and methylcobalamin, I felt much worse, had Reversing Out and numbness in toes returned and has not gone, yet.

Seems counterintuitive, but I believe once I was injecting enoughto really heal I started to make improvement all over systematically.

Despite physical stress, emotional upset, other illness, I do not feel well now. But I am still improving b12d wise and am pleased and hopeful this will continue.

I do not know your injection frequency, if it's sufficient for your symptoms. Or supplementing cofactors .

I hope this is helpful, best wishes,x

Hi Wheat, I am happy to finally meet you. I have seen a few of your posts way before I joined and they helped me a lot.Yes, I am taking cofactors including vit D.

I'm injecting every other day. About 2500 of methyl.

I really like your explanation of what may be taking place with the CNS.

Because I did notice that I generally feel a bit better, like I have made improvement, but the panic attacks and numbness second wave of reversing out made me doubt myself.

They also worsen around my menstrual cycle like 2 days before and 3 days afterwards.

Hello QianYunxi, yes good to talk to you too.

I assume you are uk and therefore obtaining your methylcobalamin from Oxford Bio Sciences. That you inject .25ml eod .

Stress either physical or mental can use up more B12 and cause symptoms to reoccur. Many inject more to combat this. Adding an additional injection eg ED to cover your menstrual cycle may help you.

Ive heard that Reversing Out can be experienced several times.

Anxiety and panic attacks are symptoms of b12d .

Unfortunately, its not really very helpful or pleasant. From the brain's perspective it has protected you by stopping you thinking or doing something that causes bodily stress reactions. So, e.g. every time I thought dentist/treatment I has an anxiety /p.a.

It is I believe a learnt unconscious behaviour but it can be broken.

Determined to beat anxiety /p.a. I tried the following link, it worked quite quickly each time. It took a while but now I can think, say, write 'Dentist' with no problem.

natural-alternative-therapi...

I hope this makes sense.

Best wishes, x
