Hyper/hyper thyroidism?

Following recent scan of saliva glands, which were normal, my thyroid was noted as being “dark”?

As I had a partial thyroidectomy 40 years ago and do not take any thyroid supplementary tablets, any clues as to what may be going on. Symptoms, normally attributed to my age, are extreme tiredness and fatigue, feeling cold, excessive tearing from eyes and nose, and intermittent hoarse voice. Any clues prior to my blood test would be appreciated.
