Did you mean to post these results on Thyroid UK here on HU ? Without the ranges it is difficult to comment as ranges do differ from lab to lab. Perhaps you also have PA - in which case I apologise
Your FT4 appears low and the FT3 seems reasonable - even without the ranges. With Hashimotos it is possible to swing from being Hyper to Hypo until the thyroid is rendered pretty useless !
Sorry Marz. Yes I meant to post on Thyroid uk! I do inject b12 as very low on that. Thanks for your advice. I will try the medication and see what happens! So frustrating though!
Make sure you are re-tested in 6/8 weeks so your dose can be adjusted/increased. Lots of Thyroid information over on Thyroid UK - hope to see you there. I have Hashimotos and a B12 issue along with Crohns - currently quiet ! - and some symptoms of old age
Are you supplementing with Folate/Folic Acid - as it works in synergy with the B12. A good B Complex will help to keep all the B's in balance and give you the Folic Acid/folate you need.
How is your VitD ? - and Ferritin - both often low with Hashi's .... and need to be good in range for your Levo to convert from the in-active T4 into the ACTIVE T3.
Not sure about VitD but Ferritin is within range thanks. Taking selenium zinc magnesium and iodine supplements! She will test me again in 3 months time! So fingers crossed and once I can sort out how to post on the right page on this sight I will be a happy bunny! 👍🏻🤣
VitD needs to be around 100 and Ferritin mid-range. Thyroid hormones do not work well when the B12 - Folate - Ferritin - VitD are low in range. We have to become used to insisting on OPTIMAl ranges with Hashimotos - being in range or normal is rarely enough - it is where we are in range that is so important.
Iodine - have you been tested ? not usually syggested for Hashimotos - like adding fuel onto the fire ....
I was seeing a naturopathy doctor who diagnosed I had Hashimoto and Autoimune. He put me on all the meds I’m on now but I had bloods done on the nhs which came back I wasn’t getting any better and should go on Levi. 😢
