Vitamin b12 levels 2000 Pmol/l after b12 injection
Yes. No worries with that.
Why was it tested?
Not needed once injections start .
Levels meant to stay high.
Mine 2as dine once as 2anted folate measured and its done with b12 .
Mine was 2000 + too.
Main thing is if you start to get relief from symotons.
Yes! Totally pointless measuring it unless it's to prove that you've had the injection!
I see! Cheers.
Considering that 2000 pmol/L in serum corresponds to a total of only around 7 mcg in serum (5 liters of blood in a body, 55% of which is serum; 1355 g b12 /mol), and that an injection typically is 1000 mcg, it's not surprising if serum values are elevated for some time after an injection. I imagine it takes a while for all the b12 to be absorbed by cells, which is where most of the b12 in the body normally is located.
