Is it normal for your vitamin b12 levels to rise that much two days after b12 injection

Yes. No worries with that.

Why was it tested?

Not needed once injections start .

Levels meant to stay high.

Mine 2as dine once as 2anted folate measured and its done with b12 .

Mine was 2000 + too.

Main thing is if you start to get relief from symotons.

Yes! Totally pointless measuring it unless it's to prove that you've had the injection!

No, I had a routine blood test because of the tablets I take

Usually not on routine bloods .If its dropped agai you may need x higher frequency of b12 injections .

Go by your symptoms

Considering that 2000 pmol/L in serum corresponds to a total of only around 7 mcg in serum (5 liters of blood in a body, 55% of which is serum; 1355 g b12 /mol), and that an injection typically is 1000 mcg, it's not surprising if serum values are elevated for some time after an injection. I imagine it takes a while for all the b12 to be absorbed by cells, which is where most of the b12 in the body normally is located.
