Hi everyone

I’m planning to store B12 in the fridge on holiday as it’s 35 degrees C heat.

is that ok to do ? And I wait to warm up ampoule a bit before injecting ?

Thanks for your advice

That's exactly what i do! I also travel with my b12 in a cloth insulated cooler with a couple of ice packs on the way there (in hand luggage). Just put something between the ice & the b12 so they don't freeze. Same thing for the fridge - just make sure it's away from any ice - if it's a hotel fridge they can sometimes ice up near the cooler part.

You can warm it up in your hand or in a trouser pocket. Make sure to avoid light exposure if you leave it out to warm up.

Have a great trip!

do you keep the injections in the hand luggage? As I’m worried they may discard them due to the needle. I use the diabetic injections

I do. I suppose it depends where you travel but i've never been questionned once in 7 years travelling within Europe, UK, US, Turkey. I just leave them in the bag, along with the b12.

In the early days I'd take backup in checked luggage just in case. If you worry, i'd do that for peace of mind. But i suggest always take enough in hand luggage as well. I've had several times where checked luggage was lost/delayed more than 5 days and i wouldn't want to be without my meds & supplies. Especially with strikes and all that going on.

I found an 18 hour cooler thermos flask. Cool in fridge with water overnight. Drain and put ampoules in flask wrapped in tissue. . Put in hold luggage.
