I have b12 deficiency. I’ve had my first set of treatment 6 jabs & 3 months folate acid tabs. After my first 6 Jabs I started to feel better a month later now another month in I feel worse than I did b4 the jabs headaches, body pain, and everything else that comes with it.

Is this normal ?

anyone experienced this?

how long does it usually take to recover? I hear 6-12 months.

My deficiency was bad, went to the doctors, because my arms were itching unbearably.

It's good you initially responded well.

I got alot worse during the loading doses ,and even worse 5 weeks later.

You probably need a higher frequency of injections.

I also got migraines ( not in my past ever)

A complete shake up of my nervous system.

Everything 'firing up'

Check nothing else needed .

I expect bloods were repeated as you had a high dose folate course

Vit D ,ferritin, folate , iron amongst others can get out of balance.

With neuro symptons every other day b12 is in the guidelines until no further improvement.

Get back to your doctor and point this out.

I did and 5 weeks after loading was put back on every other day.

As for a timeline

We all want this.

Everyone is different .

You will improve though just not in a linear line .

It's a rollercoaster.

hello Daniel, I did not notice any difference until the final loading dose then some symptoms improved. Others worse. On the 5th day without injections all physical and neurological symptom started to come back. Try and get more frequently injections. Now I self inject daily.
