B12 by πŸ’‰, . . . & synergistic nutrients to consider ! πŸ˜‘

Hello ! 😊

The first step on the B12 πŸ’‰ now taken - although seeing improvements, with a even twice-a-week frequency may take . . . weeks or months . . . in the case of a v long term medical condition ?

So far, not feeling too different either way - & in all, the 1000ug was pretty much a cinch, nβ›” doubt aided by the experience of the practitioner ! 😊

Understand that folates, folic acid, ... ?folinic acid/related, & Fe too, to maintain decent ferritin levels, would also be important. And B6 too!

Qs:

a) which other nutrients have pple found helpful to consider ?

[ NB: dβ›”n't consider the ( mostly self-produced, 'endogenous') cholecalciferol, aka 'vitD3' a true nutrient, . . . & considering it as such remains an ongoing folly ! . . . 😊 That's not to say its levels are not important - as usually only simplistically considered by measuring the prohormone 'calcidiol' level; this known to be inadequate practice in cases of inflammation-causing & autoimmune conditions . . . ! πŸ˜‘ ]

b) any experiences of B complex ( - rather than only B12) by πŸ’‰ ? How does this compare to just the B12 by injection ? Any evidence of greater benefit, compared to B12 alone reported, or from personal observation ? Or, are the other B vits really fine from diet ( - & supplements).

Hoping I can get all the other real nutrients required via a good balanced, bespoke diet. Hope the evidence that this will suffice already exists. Shall be pleased to hear about any to the contrary - as CLEARLY seems to be the case for the B12 group ! 😊

AtB,

I inject SC EOD but decided as part of my one year minimum recovery plan to take a programme of additional vitamins and minerals. These are folate, ferritin, potassium, magnesium, d3, b1, 2,3,5,7. I also take several probiotics as I'm trying to repair the damage to my gut from PPIs and a long-term B12 deficiency. At some point I'll take a combined mineral supplement. It is all an experiment but I am beginning to feel much better from the combination of all the above. It is expensive but it is also a very beneficial investment in my health and life.

How I wish the pharmaceutically-dominated medical establishment would start thinking in a different way that includes the very basics of what the human body needs.

. . . oooooh, I C . . . you subcutaneously (SC) πŸ’‰ . . . every other day (EOD) ❗ Thanks for clarifying ! 😊

. . . 'LoSalt' like products, with their potassium content would seem the most convenient & inexpensive way to get enough the K ? Likewise, the most aborbable form of Mg would seem to be magnesium chloride, available as Mg flakes, available as 'food grade' - so OK for ingestion - or otherwise for a foot/body soak!

Re. 'vit D' you may like to look at the πŸ“” "Vitamin D: New Research" (2010), esp chptr 1, ... available to view online, including on gggle πŸ“š ! Feedback in due course appreciated ! 😊

. . . by being savvy as consumers, we help to affect which pharmaceutical (& other) products become viable to remain available ! 😊 Informed consumers have power !

A month +- ago I decided to take the synergistic approach. I started with a supplement called Simple Solution which was developed for people with autism which is a neurological disorder treated by behavioral modification. That had a positive effect for me.

For 8 days I have been supplementing with Betine which has been positive for me.

Both changes resulted in a brief uptick followed by needing more rest and sleep.

I reject the belief that I have not been B12 deficient all my life or I would have died as an infant.

I go with I give my body what it needs as best I can to heal my neurological system and my neurological will adjust which it has been doing my whole life.

Vitamin D was the first vitamin discovered so there is more bullshit about it.

Current Regiment:

.50 mg SC Hydroxocobalamin. Three times a day.

5 mg SL methylcobalamin/adenosylcobalamin 66%/33% three times a day and as needed.

Pyridoxal-5-Phosphate 25 mg liquid in water twice a day.

Simple Solutions in lieu of a B-complex once a day.(Which includes .35 mg of methylcobalamin and 20 mg of Pyridoxal-5-Phosphate and other ingredients.)

Just started a trial of 2 g of Betine twice a day 8 days ago with positive results so far.
