Has anyone bought or used Pascoe B12 from apotal.de ?

hi there. I’ve self injected a few years now with the usual b12 depot and decided to try the Pascoe b12 due to supply issues like everyone else.

I got them delivered four days from order. The ampoules are slightly bigger 1500 instead of the usual 1000 so I was a bit apprehensive but needent have worried,I did my shot last night and I had so much more liquid in my syringe than I usually would and had no problems whatsoever. They also fitted in my ampoule cutter so altogether win win for me.Use by date was March 2024.

I’m happily converted now and will be relieved to be able to reduce frequency of injecting so I don’t regret the change at all.

Best of luck I’d say go ahead and order while you can.😉

Just as I was setting up my paypal account and trying to check out etc, the item came up as sold out... I can't believe it! Thanks for your kind response anyway

are you putting in search box vitb12 depot? I’ve just tried it and it’s showing stock I have it in my basket.

in reply to Thrones12

Hi, yes oddly it has now appeared again... fingers crossed it's on it's way to me...

The ampoules are 1ml - the same as Panpharma, but contain 50% more Hydroxocobalamin.

in reply to wedgewood

Is that a good thing? maybe won't need injections so often. I have purchased 2 x 10 boxes, for me and my daughter, and hope they have a long sell by date.

I really don’t think that the extra dosage will mean that you need to inject less often . The NHS would give higher dosage injections if that were the case . They try to cut down on nurses services .

If fresh from the manufacturer, the use-by date will be at least 2 years . Otherwise about a year .

It’s worth trying out injecting less often. Best wishes .

I haven't been able to pull the whole amount up, is it because I am using a 2ml syringe, I thought it would be big enough.

Thrones12 profile image
Thrones12 in reply to mountainice

I use the same size syringe and I open with my ampoule cutter prop it between my knees slightly tilted so I can get it all out and that worked fine for me.just be careful as it does tend to all sit up near the lid end so tap it down into the ampoule before you open it.x

in reply to Thrones12

To open ampoules I use an empty syringe cartridge to snap of the top and then empty the glass tip into the sharps bin ( I learnt this tip on here) I didn't get on with ampoule cutter.

Thrones12 profile image
Thrones12 in reply to

that’s good,it’s down to whatever works for you. I can’t open without ampoule cutter. I also use filter needles to draw up the liquid, there’s various opinions on this I just feel happier doing things my way.x

in reply to Thrones12

What type of cutter do you use, and where did you buy it ?

I got mines from Amazon . type in Safe Snap Ampoule opener £4.99 is costs, ive been using mines for 3 years now and it’s still going strong.

Bellabab profile image

I do the same as I could see no advantage from the commercial ampoule snapper and I am also tight.

mountainice profile image
mountainice in reply to Thrones12

I have used them three times now. I always tap down thanks. I too use an ampoule snapper. I now inject air first into the liquid, as per someone's instructions on here and that helped me get all the one ml out, but it's not working for this new size

Thrones12 profile image
Thrones12 in reply to mountainice

not heard that one before. Do what’s best for you I’m happy with what I got out of it this week,it seemed much more than usual so maybe I wasn’t getting all the liquid out of previous ampoules I will be more vigilant in future,I do rush it because I want it over with.

There’s still only 1ml in a Pascoe ampoule, though there are 1500 micrograms of hydroxycobalamin instead of the 1000 in Depot.

if you can’t get it all up, then are you using too short a withdrawing needle?

mountainice profile image
mountainice in reply to Midnight_Voice

Oops. Just looked on the ampoule and it's B12 Depot. Using the same needle as always. I use 1.5" to draw up and 1" to inject.

Rotexmedica sold out to Panpharma more than 2 years ago . But Panpharma ( French Company) seem to have stopped supplying all German pharmacies ! Pascoe have 50% more Hydroxocobalamin content than Panpharma , 1.5. but is a 1ml ampoule. A good substitute, but much more expensive .

in reply to wedgewood

I have managed to place an order, hopefully on it's way soon. I've ordered this...

Glad you got them . I’m using them instead of Panpharma ,,which is now unobtainable . I just hit back from Germany . I asked at 4 different pharmacies why Panpharma is unobtainable , but they had no idea !

At high street pharmacies in Germany , you pay the recommended retail price -Online there is always a discount .

in reply to Beccy_123

I used Apotal yesterday, for the first time. A lot of huffing & puffin and use of google translate and I got my order confirmed, probably paid more than normal, just desperate to get some B12 (Hydro) . This is a translated copy of my order confirmation

Thank you, I normally get Panpharma and failed to be able to register at other pharmacies for the Pascoe alternative... PayPal failed but I managed to check out as a guest and use a card to pay. It is a worry... Phew!

Apolux is shipping to the UK. At the bottom of the website it says "Versand", click and scroll down to find the entry for Great Britain. :-)

The availability is low for b12 ampulls now in general. I would order this instead:

Have just received my Pascoe 1500 Hydroxoc. from Amazon. de on time. Expiry the end of this year. Freight cost very low counteracting the cost of the B12. Very relieved it's worked so well. Now for the self- injecting. My first time!!

in reply to Orchard33

Thank you. Good luck. I learnt lots of tips on here and been self injecting for 2 years now.

Hello, Orchard33 - can you tell me whether there is a switchover to Amazon.de in your Uk account? Or do you have to register / login into the .de site? Many Thanks !

I think I put Amazon. de into a search and got the website. Downloaded onto Home Page. Then search and order.

Just got Pascoe via Amazon.de. The ampoules are pretty much the same size as the Depot was, still 1 ml of liquid, so fills the syringe to exactly the same extent as before - no more to push in! - but 50% more active ingredient.

First shot given - all good so far!

[Edited as per reply from Bellabab below]

Bellabab in reply to Midnight_Voice

Its one millilitre = 1 ml of liquid and 1000 ml would be a German beer glass full = one litre.

Quite right! Duly edited accordingly - thanks.
