Is there a shortage of Panpharma depot?

Hi, I have been using Rotexmedica/Panpharma depot B12 for 6 years, and I have never had an issues sourcing it. However, I cannot find it anywhere online at the moment. I have tried my usual German pharmacies, but to no avail. One of them, Bodfeld, even said that they do not currently deliver to the UK. Does anyone know the reason for the stock shortage? And, more importantly, a suitable alternative from a reputable pharmacy?Thank you :)

Yes there seems to be a problem getting hold of this at the moment.

I’ve just ordered and received Pascoe B12 depot from Apohealth.de, great service as it only took a few days to arrive. As a huge bonus the expiry date is Mar 2025. Pascoe is a higher dose B12 as it’s 1500mcg/1ml, whereas the Rotexmedica I previously used was 1000mcg/1ml. I therefore intend injecting only 2/3 of a ml so that I continue taking the same dose as before.

Other people on the forum use a different brand (sorry I can’t remember the name) and this provides a 1000mcg dose but in 2ml of liquid. I decided against this as I didn’t want to inject twice as much.

Hi JanJust to let you know, I switched from panpharma to pascoe about 6 months ago.. its perfectly fine to inject the whole ampoule..in fact I do and inject daily..sometimes twice daily

Your body will pee out the excess

I got Hevert on Amazon, it's 2ml, so that might be the one you're thinking of

Yes ,Panpharma b12 depot ( hydroxocobalamin ) . is virtually unobtainable at the moment . I did write to Panpharma U.K. , and was told that the main ingredient for the manufacture of B12 ampoules is in very short supply

Most of us are using Pascoe B12 depot ( 1.5mg x 1ml) . Reference no. 07568672 for packets of 10 or 07568695 for A clinic pack of 10 packets .

The other possibility is Hevert B12 depot

packet of 10 ampoules 1mg x 2ml ref. no

06078368

Clinic pack of 10 , 100 ampoules ref no.

06078380

I’m using the Pascoe b12 depot and find them excellent. But they are more expensive. Obtainable from

apohealth.de They have the site in English and do not charge for delivery

versandapo.de occasionally have Panpharma for a few hours , but sell out immediately! You can look for Panpharma and fillout the box with your email address , and they will email you when they have some . But you have to be very quick because they sell out straightaway!

Cummie75, Versandapo have Panpharma B12, but not Panpharma B12 depot (which is the hydroxocobalamin). The one they have in stock is cyanocobalamin.

I was under the impression that panpharma have ceased trading/selling b12. This was the only hydro brand I used.

PhilAB, I ended up emailing Panpharma. They told me that there is a shortage of raw materials, hence the lack of stock. They couldn't advise when it would be available again, but there was no mention of them no longer trading.
