if you are now on regular b12 injections sometimes this can happen.

sometimes if it's a bit late it stirs things up again.

I've had thise symptoms many times .

or perhaps you've done too much?

it may be

coincidence. Loads of horrid viruses around .

I have one and it excaberates b12 deficiency symptoms .

I still can feel rough day after injection . No idea why .

Did yio ever get a referral to a neurologist for the trickling water feeling. Or did this resolve.

I had many neurological symptoms and 2 brain MRI's a year apart

Good to rule things out .

Hooe you pick up soon.

hi thanks for the reply , I’m having injections every 3 months it’s just I never felt this bad before, when I think I’m feeling better it gets bad again but like you say it could be a virus but it’s weird how I was ok before I had the injection , the trickling feeling in my head it went, but I had an episode of that earlier today with feeling a little dizzy , I did speak to my doctor about the weird feeling I get in my head but he just didn’t seem to concerned .

Sounds like the injection them.

if it is 'catch up 'symptoms you may well need 8 or 10 weekly injections

my daughter did this and 10 weeks suits her

what do you mean by catch up symptoms?

Many thanks

Sone find if theve needed b12 before it gets it, your body reacts more when B12 is recieved.

Healing process ix not in linear line

I'm sorry you're not feeling well. If you're not getting frequent enough injections to control symptoms, this might like a 'reversal' where you temporarily feel worse after an injection, before feeling better.

Could you have caught covid while you were at the doctor's office? What you describe sounds a bit covid-y.

I hope you feel better soon.

hi Jade,

Thanks for the reply, I’m on injections every 3 months, I felt perfectly fine before i had the injection it’s just so weird how I feel so crappy after, it could be covid I have not tested myself yet as I thought it might of just gone away

Hi Prettywoman73, I felt worse after the first few weeks of getting injections. Worse than I did before the first injection. It took 5 months and I am now much better. I am still tired and achy. In fact I am going to go take a nap right after this. I still have low energy and headaches and my body is achy but after 5 months, I turned a corner for the better. I had severe pain in my left foot, It is so much better. I actually wore a pair of boots the other day. I haven't been able to wear anything but rubber shoes or flat shoes with no arch. It will get better, but it sounds like you need more frequent injections. also, my brain is working so much better. I can now go every other day (EOD) injections instead of ED. But sometimes I just feel like I need one everyday. Like today.

Do you take any other supplements or medications ? B12 works with Folate in the body so good levels needed. Also have you had Ferritin and VitD tested ? With gut issues absorption can be poor resulting in low levels. How is your diet ?

i only ask because I was diagnosed with Crohns back in 1973 and manage my diet snd nutrient levels to stay well .... 🌻

Hi, I am feeling the exact same. I have just finished my two week course of B12 injections every other day (last one Friday) and I feel awful.

My symptom's started with tingling in my hands & feet, muscles feeling very numb and aching, tiredness and no appetite. They found I had low B12, my level was 70.

But after the injections I feel awful, my achiness is worse, I have pain around my ribcage and back, up into my shoulders, I cannot sleep and have no appetite and feel quite sick after eating.

It is good to hear that I am not the only one as I was hearing stories of people saying they feel improvements after the first jab and I am the opposite! I hope you and I feel better soon!

Hi EJ22, is the pain in your ribs on the right side? I had that too. It was quite painful. It was just my liver getting used to having B12 in it again. The liver stores B12 and with PA it is depleted. So to suddenly give your body something it hasn't had in years maybe even decades, it kind of freaks out a bit while it comes back to life. it will pass. It is a little darker before the dawn but it will subside, and you will feel better. It took me about 5 months to turn a corner. Hang in there. It is a bit unnerving and scary but everyone here reassured me it would pass and it did.

Hi, yes the pain is in my right side, it is terrifying! I went to the hospital because I was getting very scared, but they said it was nothing.

It’s very comforting to hear stories from others and not feel so alone, thank you for sharing yours with me. For the first time in weeks I have slept a little easier after coming on here.

I am counting down the days to feeling like myself 😁

Aww, I got scared too because the pain on right side. They did find fatty liver on mine and lesions and I never drank. But they said all is well. And pain is now gone. That's been gone for a while. I think month 4 it subsided.

I'm glad you found this forum. It really is the most help I've gotten. They saved me from being terrified many times.

Also, insomnia can be a major side effect of starting treatment. It gets better though.

Hang in there. It can take 5 or more months. Some even say years until they felt like themselves. I think we are a new version of our old selves, but we do come back to a sort of normalcy. We just get used to it I guess.

There are just so many symptoms to get used to though. The fear does get better. 🦋💙🦋
