Good morning, I read that some of you use methyl lozenges or spray. Does that help get you through the times that you start to crash? Can we absorb it with PA? I feel I need a boost and it's only 11:25am here.
Thanks 🦋

I've had P.A. for over 50 years and (personally) I use a methyl spray every day. As for whether it does me much good or not - it can do me no harm - and if only 1% gets through the salivary glands that's 1% more than nothing
I'm now 81 years of age and I'm still "clivealive"
I wish you well.
Hi Clivealive!!! You're an inspiration!! Thank you. I might as well give it a try. Is there a brand you recommend? Some sites seem like a weight loss gimmick thing.
Holland and Barrett B12 Boost is pleasant tasting costa around £12 and lasts a couple of months depending on how many squirts a day - I do four.
I first tried it after I'd had a bad fall and was due to go away on holiday to a seaside town where our rental was atop steep hills. I started "squirting" and my wife commented on how well I was doing the "mountaineering" so I guessed it must be doing me some good so have continued.
There is no guarantee that you will feel any benefit as we are all different but there is no harm in giving it a try as you cannot "overdose" on B12 and as Gambit62 says you may benefit from " passive absorption" which is probably what happens with me as I had two thirds of my stomach removed following a burst peptic ulcer at the age of 17 in 1959.
High dose works through a process called passive absorption generally along the cut.
On average about 1% of the B12 dose is absorbed but this seems to be an average from a lot of variation so not everyone finds that passive absorption works for them.
If you are going to try it then its best to start just after an injection when your B12 levels are already high.
You can actually get oral supplements in all 4 of the bio-available forms of B12 (cyano, hydroxo, methyl and adenosyl). Haven't found any adenosyl sprays but you can get adenosyl drops. In theory it shouldn't matter which form you use but again, people report that some forms suit them and others don't.
It works for me short term if I forget a jab.
There’s a really good spray in a small, squat, black bottle available in the USA only - a friend bought one back for me - by Pure Advantage
1610 W. Whispering Wind Drive, Phoenix, AZ.
Otherwise I found Solgar sublinguals suited me best because they were small and hard and smooth so fitted under my tongue well!
I use a methyl spray from Boots the chemist (UK) by the ‘Better You’ brand. £12 for 48 daily doses. Seems to help though I’ve also had 6 injections at our local medical centre.
I have the Better You spray and also a few brands of sublingual tablets (but make sure they are activated B12) I try to remember to do it every day inbetween my injections and I'm sure it does help.
Ok, thanks a bunch jennyettie!
This is all I could find so far. Everybody markets b12 as a dietary supplement. These are 5000mcg drops. Thought I would try it until I find what I want. Will light affect it? They don't seem worried about light or refrigeration.
