Hoes your sight and light sensitivity now? Did you up your b12 frequency?

Always good to get progress reports

It’s much better most of the time thank you, it does dip a bit when I’m due a Jan. I think I did up the frequency of injections - sorry, my memory is appalling! Thanks for asking.

I’ve just checked back and yes, I did increase the frequency. My eyes do still get worse again occasionally but it’s much better than it was.

Good to hear you are getting on okay. I remember you having light sensitivity .

Mine is less severe but have 25w bulbs in corners rather than overhead.

My vision goes down badly at tines

However I can watch bit of TV now which is amazing .

What frequency did you settle on ?

Love to hear about others

Hi

I’m new to this forum but just been reading through and came across this post !! I too suffer from vision deterioration and light sensitivity.. I have an appointment with the ophthalmologist next week .. it’s been noted by the opticians twice that I have a haemorrhage behind my eye and tortuss blood vessels in both eyes .. does this ring any bells for anyone ? And does anyone know how you can find out if your optical nerve has been damaged .. I’ve been complaining to doctors about vision deterioration for nearly 2 years as well as hardly being able to walk and still they didn’t pick up until about 3 months ago xx

I had a good optician just up the road from me. When I was concerned about my eyesight because of B12 deficiency, he showed me on his computer what the back of eyes looks like in B12 deficient patients, what he might be looking for. He then checked the back of my eyes to reassure me and ensured that it was added to my record to get this checked at every regular check-up.

Unfortunately, this opticians closed down during covid -and has re-opened as a private optician with different staff. But it is possible that there are still more like him.

By the way, I did not have anything wrong behind eyes.

My only sight problem now seems to be night vision not good enough to be able to paint - colours wrongly mixed - so roll on lighter evenings. Also ability to inject hampered in evenings - as blue/ green needles indistinguishable !

That’s interesting Cherylclaire, I’ll ask about that next time I go.

The last time I went to the optician, I was told I had a haemorrhage behind one eye. He wrote to my GP but it has not been followed up. My eyesight has gone downhill and rely on good light to do things.

I will mention it next time I have a neurologist or optician appointment. If we all keep asking and sharing, between us we may get some answers.

I have visual migraine symptoms and think that the migraine process was triggered by B12 deficiency. I'm mentioning this as I think light sensitivity may due to migraine.
