B12 injections

Hello.. I was wondering if anyone can help me, I am currently on my second week of b12 injections.. my body is so sore with chest pains is that normal? Also I have a fowel taste in my mouth.. can this be from the injections?

In my loading doses I did feel very ill.Heart palpitations .

Severe headaches

Migraines

. The list goes on.

At the time I was reassured by a forum member who simply said your nerves are waking up randomly .

Alot can feel worse before better

Also depends on how you wrre feeling before.

How long you've been having symptoms

How long you had to wait for treatment.

Obviously tell the nurse at your next injection.

I got blank expressions.

Keep a diary of how you are doing.

Perhaps read through some old posts.

I remember reading some had a strange taste.

Ask for tee leaflet from the b12 box so you can

read the side effects .

I note what brand I'm having of hydroxcobalamin too .

I did exactly the same as you . Posted twice when no quick response in my lodi lodi doses.

Anxiety I had too.

I now think it wax thd nervous system getting so stirred up.

Drink lots if water and eat little and often.

Potassium rich foods bsnsnnas or coconut water if you csn stand it

Your bloods should've included folate vit d iron ect. And will be repeated on request if needed.

B12 levels not needed.

Thank you so much for your post.

After my second lot of bloods coming back abnormal they decided this course of action.

I had a very high haemoglobin with in largest blood cells, high MCV and lack of B12.

My last dose is on Friday And then they will take my bloods in a weeks time to see how they are.

I had a bad viral infection in Jan (I think it was Covid but PCR was neg) and ever since that I have not been right.. so that’s when the doctor decides to take bloods.

I am having a chest X-ray tomorrow because of my chest pains.. mainly on the right hand side and goes under my arm at times.. it’s weird it’s not like palpitations all the time it’s a dull sore pain.. so I guess it’s just to make sure it’s okay..

It’s such a guessing game all of this especially doing econsults online and not seeing the doctors.. it’s horrible as I just don’t feel like my body is right..

Good you getting investigations. Try and push for a face to face .

If yiu can get there.

They tend to rule things out.

At leady they are acting on your blood results .

Try and get paper copies of blood results or download from a NHS app.

Good for your personal records
