I am addressing those who are getting b12 injections every other day. How long have you been doing this? Have you had any consequences?

I've been injecting 1.5ml daily for 6+ years and the only effects have been beneficial ones.

I have friends who have been on twice that for 4+ years and they are still improving.

Lots and lots are on EOD.

Some people have been on daily jabs for decades.

Hi Zeffy90. Another positive reply. I've been injecting every day since June 2019 after NHS deemed that my levels were sufficient and that I no longer needed the treatment - sorry under treatment - that I'd been on for 8 yrs. I still feel that I am improving and my symptoms begin creeping back if I reduce frequency and I'm determined not to go there. I've been having issues for 20+ yrs so think I had a lot of ground to make up. Everyone is different so go with what frequency holds your symptoms at bay. Good luck and I hope that you are able to work out what is right for you. I've found that co-factors are important too. I wish you well.

Thank you for your response. May I ask what cofactors? Unfortunately I cannot take any multivitamins as it makes me worse.

Hi Zeffy90,

I go on my symptoms, so sometimes it’s every day, EOD and the longest I have gone between injections is a week. 14 months now. I’ve gone from practically bed bound, tremors, ataxia. A close friend acting as my carer to being able to do 5 mile power walk in the morning. Need to rest and pace in the afternoon. But sports mad.

It depends how physically active I am, studies or stress. (I’m a coeliac, lactose - it goes on). Supplements have fillers in which MAY be causing your symptoms. Just a suggestion. 🤷‍♀️

I have been injecting daily since September 1, 2021. I feel it has been helpful. There is plenty of evidence that B12 is not toxic at any level.
