German online pharmacies that will ship to U.K.
Brexit has caused problems for German online pharmacies that were supplying vitaminB12 ampoules to the U.K. They now have to register with U.K. customs and collect any VAT for them and have extra paper work , customs documents etc because we have voted to leave the single European market .So many of those pharmacies have given up shipping to U.K. . Some , thank goodness, still do
The following are the various brands that are supplied..
Panpharma ( used to be called Rotexmedica) have 1mg x1ml B12 depot ampoules
Hevert have 1mg x 2ml. B12 depot ampoules .
Pasco have 1.5mg x 1ml B12 depot ampoules .

Intra-muscular injection needles 25G x 1inch
Sub-cutaneous injection needles 30G x 1/2 inch
Withdrawing needles 21G x 1 1/2 inches.
Blunt ended needles with or without a filter are also obtainable.( to withdraw the solution out of the ampoule ) using the injection needle for this will make it blunt if it touches the glass. (Ouch!)

I find that doing I.M. injections into the thighs ( Vastus Lateralis muscle , nearest to the surface in the middle outside third of the thigh ) much easier and convenient than into the deltoid muscle. You can swap thighs easily and you have a large surface to use.
Many people do not use a swab before injecting . I always have , but apparently it’s not necessary . The 25G x 1 inch need'e is ideal for I,M. You need to use a longer needle if you are very overweight.
.Hope that this helps .
Wow, this information is very useful so thank you. I won’t inject myself as I have always been terrified of needles but I am fine as long as I don’t look and focus on something else. My husband is not bothered at all by needles so he will do it for me (he even had to take our children for all their immunisations as I couldn’t do it) The nurse has been injecting into the deltoid and I have no issues or soreness with this so thought I would just keep this up.
I'm researching this myself and see that deltoids can only carry 1ml of injection fluid. So I would highly recommend not to get any dosage higher - 1mcg in 1ml and no more, to keep you safe.
A box of 10 Panpharma ampoules from Bodfield Apotheke are a good choice.
You can get a 'b12 injection kit' from UK Medi which has the core basics of needles and syringes: ukmedi.co.uk/injection-cycl...
You don't have to swab the arms but they should be clean/washed. These kits include a little alcohol wipe anyway
Do you have instructions on what to do?

Thanks for your input. I won’t actually be injecting myself, husband will do it for me. When I asked the nurse for tips she suggested pinching the skin and depressing very slowly. She also suggesting watching YouTube videos as she said they were very good. I also understand it helps if the ampoules have been warmed a little. I did read that using a swab beforehand can cause stinging but I have no idea as the nurse has never one.
