Pernicious anaemia and covid

Evening from London. I had my four weeklyB12 injection last week because I have pernicious anaemia. I feel really poorly and wondered if the virus affects our absorption of B12 too. It’s another 3 week before I’m due to have another. Is there anything I can do to help myself during this time. Please take care and keep safe everyone. X

Do you know that you have Covid? If you have you will feel unwell whether you have PA or not.

Yes I have tested positive 6 days ago and feel poorly but all my pernicious anaemia symptoms have come flooding back too. Take care

When I had it, it was bad enough to make me forget my 'usual' symptoms. See how you go, and as somebody else suggested, an extra injection to help you recover may be a good idea. Once it went, I got over it fairly quickly.

Agree with Hypopotamus , as well as vitamin C, D3 and possibly zinc. In many European countries, high doses of C and D are given as treatment for those hospitalised when found to be low.

Dr Carmel Wheatley, research doctor at Oxford (studied cancer, sepsis, etc) calls vitamin B12 'a pan vitamin' for the above and other symptoms!
