It’s is only in the last 6 months since I developed what was diagnosed as PA that I’ve also had tinnitus as well.I was at the same time taking too much thyroxin but both are now under control.Anyone out there with similar problems I’m hoping the tinnitus will disappear as fast as it appeared !!

Now have three autoimmune diseases the third is Addison’s that I’ve had for over 35 years.

Thanks

As far as the tinnitus I still get it but not as bad as it was. I do avoid things that set it off though.

I don't uses a landline telephone as it sets off a terrible pitch and gives me head pains too.

With me it's using my eyes like typing this .I do neck stretches and when my ears pop it relieves it fora while.

It used to be mich worse after a b12 injection?

I used to call it the b12 buzz.

No idea why tinnitus happens with b12 deficiency/PA

So hopefully yours will reduce very soon.

Three autoimmune conditions sounds tough

I had tinnitus prior to being diagnosed. Once I started my injections it disappeared! I had no idea it was one of the symptoms. Hope it works out well for you too

Hearing aids have stopped tinnitus, but only when they are worn.

I have tinnitus which started around the time of diagnosis. All other symptoms of PA have been hugely improved by injections but unfortunately not the tinnitus.

My tinnitus seems to vary, after my injections were increased it disappeared completely. Now I find it returns from time to time, usually if I’m a bit run down or have a sinus problem or a cold. I wish I could say it had gone but it hasn’t.

My tinnitus is really annoying and the moment, but my ears are playing me up very dry and scaly. Had this for over 30 years on and off.

I have tinnitus as well. I was diagnosed with PA 4 years ago and have been self injecting b12 3 times a week since. I'm sorry to say that it has taken quite a while to calm it down. They say you need to self inject b12 3 times a week as long as you have neuro symptoms. It has just been the last few months that the ringing in my left ear to calm down. It's so important to keep those jabs up

Here in UK I had an initial 6 jabs at my doctors then at 3 months I was given a one injection top up ..looks like my tinnitus is here to stay for now !!

I find my tinnitus is a great aid in confirming I need to re-inject. It is normally a background hiss which just gets louder. It goes with all the other ‘little’ indicators like burning and tingling feet, lethargy, clumsy, mind fog etc, the plethora of problems of Pernicious Anaemia.

I have constant tinnitus, I have only recently been diagnosed with anaemia and only have had 5 weeks of B12 injections 1 per week and now have to wait 3 months until the next plus folic acid tablets. There has been no decline in the tinnitus it gets worst with fatigue and stress so basically the end of every working week. ☹️
