I’ve often questioned myself about my PA diagnosis because it’s been playing on my mind that I had an injection 1 month, and daily sublinguals before the day I had my blood test that showed +ve antibodies…
Knowing there’s recommendations to not supplement before the test - does anyone know if taking supplements/injections beforehand leads to false positives OR usually false negatives?

The injection a month before won't be an issue ie won't have affected the result.I really don't know if the oral dose would be enough to influence the result - suspect it wouldn't. If it did have an influence then it would be to increase the chance of a false positive but I'm not sure by how much.
PA is the most likely B12 absorption problem and the main interpretation problem with the IFAB test is false negatives (40-60%).
FlipperTD should be able to give you a more precise answer.
In a nutshell, I had a +ve diagnosis despite the supplements and injections so glad if it decreases likelihood of positive result - I’m 100% PA basically
