Does anyone know how fast homocysteine levels are affected by supplementation? I took 1mg sublingual methylcobalamin a day for two weeks, then ceased using it for two weeks before testing (poor planing on my end i know). Both serum b12 and homocysteine levels tested normal. I know that serum b12 levels would be unreliable after supplementation, but would this be true for homocysteine aswell? Symptoms are: Numbness/tingling in hands and feet, fatique, vertigo, generall weakness and shakiness. All of these seems to be getting worse when supplementing, which could mean it's an "reversing out" reaction of b12 defeciency, right? So confused.

I’m sorry I don’t know the answer to your question but I feel that given your levels are within the normal range as there are many possible causes of neurological problems that it’s important you are investigated by a neurologist for the reason for your symptoms.
I don't know what they were before, since i made the mistake to try supplementing before suggesting testing for b12 to my doctor. I'll consider trying another form, thanks for the advice.
