Do you guys have any advice for these levels as injections have been withdrawn from my 15 year old daughter as they say she can take b12 by tablet form. I’m just trying to consider if paying private for them will be needed with levels like these, she was 10 weeks on from an injection at the point of these blood tests.
Many thanks x

Many people on here know much more than I do, and I'm sure you'll get some good advice.
Personally, I would push for injections to continue, at least until the iron levels are sorted out. The iron is going to be upsetting her gut, and you don't really want to be adding more into the mix (apart from vit C to help the iron).
Also the B12 level seems low for somebody receiving injections. Teenagers are going to be different to adults too.
Hi, so she started loading injections as her levels were very low, they say her intrinsic factor is negative, how would I read her intrinsic factor on a blood report? She still is very tired, her dizziness isn’t too bad now.
The levels seem quite low for someone who is on injections. If your daughter has a diagnosis of pernicious anaemia the the current guidance from the BCSH during the covid pandemic is to discuss with patient and try tablets tub tell the patient to come back if they find symptoms return. This page on the PAS website may be of use
Just noticed the statement on not testing B12 levels if on IM injections - the test is difficult to interpret in these situations and certainly can't be used to manage the condition.
