I've been injecting hydroxocobalamin for ten months now regularly (once a week minimum) to cure neuropathy caused by B12 def. I have gained weight and have also noticed that I'm very bloated the days after my injection. Generally, I feel tired and bloated all the time. I'm taking all the necessary co-factors and eating a potassium-rich diet.
I only have injection x 6 weekly - I have no problem with bloating but my metabolism works more quickly for a couple of days and I am more hungry than usual.
I would go gluten free for 6 weeks and keep a symptom journal. I suspect gluten is your culprit. I find a gluten and dairy free diet has helped enormously. I si IM every 4th day and take cofactors.
Thank you for the response. I actually already eat almost completely gluten-free (the celiac test was negative) and no dairy. But I think I may have figured this out now that I started to really look at my diet. I think it might be the potassium-rich foods like eating a lot of potatoes on the injection days that is causing the bloating. Good idea to keep a diary! I'll do that and see if it matches my suspicions now
