Has anyone else experienced an outbreak of acne following a B12 injection? I have never had acne before, not even as a teenager, but my face is now covered. No change in diet or stress levels.

Can B12 injections cause acne outbreak?
I'm covered in acne, all over my body. It was especially bad in the beginning, and when I was doing large amounts of b12 daily in the hopes of getting faster results.
Now the bumps mostly form under my clothes and not on my face, so I ignore them.
Yrs I had sore spots hard round lips mainly round my hairline face snd back. It's a common side effect waking up dormant bacteria
I get the odd one only now.
I've never had ance or spots as a tee nager either.
It will improve just leave thrn alone sbd kep them dry. Takes quite a while to go.
Yes, it's probably the most commonly reported side effect. ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl...
The good news is that it is almost always temporary. Head over to the pharmacist and ask them to suggest something.
Here is an explanation of what's happening when the body is flooded with B12.

I found it helpful to take 5 mg extra biotin with every shot. Your body needs to adjust, skin blemishes will vanish in time. But asking your pharmacist is a good idea anyway, I think.
The same happened to me on my 2nd set of loading injection 6 edo 2wks off another 6 eod now on twice weekly). Very healthy diet and never had spots before. Gradually clearing up now. Try not to squeeze them - I did but they are strange as they have a white head but more of a raised red bump/boil underneath. Think it's quite a common thing as I posted a similar a short time ago.
Yes. For the vast majority of people, these will go completely after a while.
I used to think "Great ! Something's finally happening!" - except when they were in my ear canal. Mostly mine were where you could see them: face, neck, and on the end of my nose (hard to avoid staring). Easy for me to be unbothered when I was in my late 50's though.
It's better than the alternative. Bear with.
Yes, I use tea tree oil to dry them up.
When I start to get a few pimples it is a reminder to me that I need my injection. B12 clears them up. I wonder if you could be allergic to it? Good luck.
