Possible depletion of other forms of vitamin b

I was wondering if anyone has researched any link with depletion of any of the other forms of Vitamin b. For example, b 2?

We know we have a vitamin B12 deficiency. Lots on here (myself included) also have low b9 (folate).

Given the fact that many of us still feel major fatigue, despite being treated with B12 injections and folate tablets (where required), I’m wondering if the continuing symptoms could be linked to other low levels of vitamin b in its other forms?

Many of these from what I read, can also cause fatigue due to low energy production.

As far as I can see, non of the blood tests I’ve had have tested for these other forms of vitamin b.

PA can cause low stomach acid which can inhibit the absorption of folate from food. I don't know of any other absorption problems regarding vitamins

Yes I've often thought the same. I've aksi stopped absorbing enough iron from food??

Vit d is tested .

As you say folate.

I'm tempted when possible to have a full nutritional screen blood test. After keeping a food

diary . It's quite easy to work out your intake of vits and minerals and fats.

But only a blood test would show if you are absorbing it all.

Meanwhile I'm topping up with a basic multivit times a week.

My fatigue/exhaustion is just about sorted out now that I have the injection frequency that works for me (twice a week). Likewise other symptoms with the exception of tinnitus.

In the past I’ve tried to reduce my injection frequency and the first thing that happens is that the exhaustion creeps in rapidly followed by brain fog/losing words/forgetting what I’m talking about mid sentence.

So I would question whether or not your injection frequency is sufficient.

I’m sorry you’re having issues with inbalances. I developed horrible vitamin B deficiencies from injecting vitamin B 12 for 13 years. It caused a huge imbalance .I would highly recommend you get a NutraEval test or at least an organic acids test done to see what your markers look like. I was very low in vitamin B2 ,B6 and Biotin. Please also make sure you’re not being exposed to any mold, it depletes B vitamins. I was also very low in vitamin C and iron. Best to you.

Please explain how injecting B12 can deplete other B vitamins. It cannot.

Nutreval and organic acid tests are scams. quackwatch.org/related/tests/

It causes an imbalance. All B vitamins should be included when doing b12 injections. I learned the hard way and now trying to find balance by having beri beri etc.

Please explain how it 'causes an imbalance'.

Injecting B12 does not, and can not, cause an imbalance. There is no automatic requirement to take every other B vitamin when injecting.

I had a urine metabolic test done through a functional medic which showed B2 was also low

I now take b complex called high 2 by Viridian which has more B2 and has really helped my energy levels

Btw it also showed my B12 was low despite injections (urinary MMA) so was massively validating for me and self injections.

Urine metabolic tests, on their own, are useless.

Fbirder - I don't think I asked for your opinion. I offered something that has helped me that the original poster specifically mentioned.

Anyway, 'on their own?' Or in association with repeated NHS blood tests, monitoring symptoms, stool analysis, face to face appointments, dietary analysis, loads of internet research and years of feeling like cr6p.

People come on here for suggestions and similar experiences that can help them. Not to be rubbished at every turn.
