Yup that is hydroxocobalamin 1 mg/mL for injection.

I also found it here - pharmasana.co.uk/cefavit-b1... and it seems to ship to the UK. I didn't go through with the purchase as I already have lots of the stuff.

As you’ve been so kind I wonder if I dare push my luck and ask advice about what syringes I need to purchase 😁

Those should be fine SallyRees . They are exactly the kind of ampoules most people on this forum use . I note that my usual brand Rotexmedica is out of stock with apotal.de . I expect they have been inundated from U.K. , since our usual GermanPharmacies are not shipping to U.K. at the moment . I would order straight away , before they run out . The 100 ( 10 x 10 packets are a very good price !

Could you possibly advise and maybe provide a link for the correct syringes that I’ll need. I’ve never self injected 😳 I’m in the Uk

Medisave.co.U.K.

Do you have a link for them, Martin?

in reply to SallyRees

Sorry I can’t add a link on my phone. I just went on to their website and entered what I always order and it came up. These are the correct ones. Order soon, many are out of stock.

I get my syringes from medisave.co.uk You need a 2ml syringe for a 1ml ampoule . I order 100 BD Emerald Hypodermic Syringe (307727) costing £4.99 for 100 . You need needles for injecting —25 G x 1 inch try BD Microlance needles orange 25G x1 inch. 100 cost £3.49 .

I also order long withdrawing needles just to get the B12 out of the ampoule and into the syringe . Say 21G. X 1 1/2 inch using these prevents the injection needle from becoming blunt from contact with the bottom of the glass ampoule .

I don’t know about sub-cutaneous injecting . The injecting needles are for I.M. injecting . Shorter needles are required for sub-cutaneous injections .

I also order swabs I think that there is VAT and postage to pay .on all items

I will be injecting intramuscular. I’m sorry to come across so stupid. But do I need two sorts then? I wish I didn’t have to do this myself (like most) but I’m so unsure of what to buy.

Could you possibly post. The two links for the items I need to purchase?

Links for purchasing. Ignore the stuff about versandapo.de.

Includes links for needles and syringes.

I think I need to find an idiots guide to injecting 😳 When I’ve gone for my injections at the clinic I’ve always thought they used just one needle. After so many kind responses form members I think I’m a little blinded by it all. Do I snap the vial? Does the needle push through? I’m so sorry folks, you must think me so dumb. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Have you not received my help-sheet ? I hoped that would help, you .Yes the clinic would use one needle — saves money . It’s also easier to use one needle if you are using a vial with several shots in it — you don’t need to touch the glass . But in a domestic situation a single use ampoule is the best way to administer . I can assure you it’s advisable to use 2needles if you want the injection to be pain free . But feel free to use one if you wish . The needles are really cheap . Please read the help sheet which I sent to you by private message last night , because it is so long. You can buy a cheap device on Amazon.co.U.K. To snap the ampoule open . I have explained this in the help sheet .

I don’t seem to have anything in my private msgs. I really appreciate your kindness and help. This might sound dumb but all the talk of drawling the B12 and then transferring it has me confused too. I had such a stressful day yesterday with conversations I had with two Drs about stopping my injections and the stonewall “no jabs to be given at this time”. I will hopefully have a clearer head today now the panic of purchasing B12 has been resolved. Onto the next set of purchases 😊

I it sounds as though you are experiencing symptoms of B12 deficiency. Just looked — Yes you have received a private message from me . You should have received a notification of it in your email. Have a look .

Hi Wedgewood, would you be kind enough to send me the help sheet too please. I am just about to start my journey on self administering and have to admit to being a tad anxious. I'm sure it will all be ok though. Thank you.

Hi Sally, like you I'm new to SI.... I followed the advice and info from fbirder re; needles syringes etc and had no problem obtaining supplies. I completed the last of my 6 loading doses successfully on New Years Day....although because I was so nervous and anxious I wasted 4 ampoules of the B12 (dropped or spilled liquid on floor ) but, once I got organised and calmed myself down the SI was easy and painless. I can't thank the people enough from this site for all the help and support I received.
