Further liver & bilirubin blood test. - Pernicious Anaemi...
Further liver & bilirubin blood test.
Do you have unexplained high B12?
If so your doc is checking on your liver functions as problems there can cause high B12.
Not sure what he’s checking for. My 16 year old daughter was admitted into hospital 13 Nov for a week with temp of 40.3 & extreme lower abdomen pain. Later after CT scan diagnosed with Colitis (not ulcerated colitis) & later with UTI sepsis. Treated then discharged. Readmitted & treated for fecal impaction. Since discharge she’s been on antibiotics fir chest infection, eating very little, very weak & experiencing pain in upper right quadrant of the abdomen under ribs. Before discharge they advised blood results showed her liver wasn’t happy, run mor blood tests & advised they were happy with her liver function what ever levels appeared to have come down nicely. I don’t have a clue what her results where, hospital told us very little, infact they failed to inform us my daughter had sepsis. I was present when consultant told her to add insult to injury you now have a urine infection. That was all he said about it, we only found out about it two weeks after she was discharged from her GP when discussed her discharge notes with us. They put her infection down to viral as nothing showed in stool test. I’m so frustrated as she’s ill & feel no one is telling us anything... it’s going on too long now.
My daughter also has problems with stomach acid & takes omeprazol morning & night. Apparently blood results indicate no issue with b12 or folate etc
Oh My God this made me feel so sad 😿 I know how frustrating it can be !! Wishing you both a merry Christmas x
Merry Christmas Queeniz. Took her back to GP yesterday, GP feels sepsi hasn’t been completely treated after testing her urine & feeling her abdomen & kidneys. She was very tender in this area. Another weeks course if antibiotics, pray this helps xx
It sounds like they are checking the biliary tree as it is called. I would ask more questions... your daughter’s treatment and explanations would not satisfy me.
Martin I have asked and asked so many question, no answers until yesterday. GP thinks unrinary sepsis not been treated fully with the IV antibiotics she was given in hospital as after testing urine etc yesterday it was evident she still has the infection. Only took them 4 weeks to determine this. Unbelievable!!!
I really feel for you. Really not good enough. I hope she now gets the care she needs. Best wishes.
