B12 and sciatica

I'm injecting twice a week and recently started taking methylfolate (400 mcg). It is a week now I'm suffering from severe sciatic nerve pain (alternating sides). Yesterday I couldn't properly walk. I'm having pain in knees too. Is it caused by b12 deficiency?

I'd get it investigated . Theres all sorts with b12 deficiency.

Always best to get checked out though .

I get pains in my hipw and knees all over really. They do get worse when due an injection especially at night

Hi Zeffirelli,Like Nackapan said it’s hard to say. If we put everything down to B12 then maybe we miss something that needs other types of treatment. Sorry to hear you are in pain and struggling to walk - it’s no fun. Wishing you better soon.

Also it would not be recorded anywhere, if not discussed with your GP.

Exactly - excellent point. 😊

if it started when you started taking the methylfolate then try stopping and see what that does. Some people don't respond well to methylfolate.
