Tired after B12 injection

Is anyone else tired the day after a B12 injection. I can be tired, no engery or get up and go, unable to think clearly and a little off balance.

Yes that happens to me . By third day better. I can also feel restless the day before an injection and cant settle then sort of crash. . I think with me its because my head pains are bad sk I'm constantly distracting which is exhausting.

I have very much experienced this with Methylcobalamin. I personally find Hydroxocobalamin to be better in that regard.

[I used to take Methylcobalamin fine, but after my B12 treatment was withdrawn for a while and I became very ill, I had this problem when I restarted the treatment. It felt like my body couldn't process the Methylcobalamin properly (though I have no idea if that is the case). It was helping on the one hand and giving me all these symptoms (just as you have described) on the other hand. I eventually started taking Hydroxocobalamin instead which, although can be a more painful injection, did not give me those side effects.

Me too ! Conversely, occasionally I feel ' hyper ' and 'wired ' but mostly it's extreme tiredness. x

How long does it last? Does it matter what time of day you get/self-administer the injections?

Hi, it really varies, sometimes feel very tired just that day, occasionally two days. I inject in the morning so that if the opposite happens and I feel hyper alert, it will hopefully have worn off by bed time. Hope these symptoms settle down for you. Best wishes x
