Happy new year! Yes I sleep for about two hours,it’s a solid sleep usually that afternoon after my shot.some people are the opposite and feel wired after a shot.I always think the body says ok rest now and let the magic b12 do it’s stuff and heal this poor body lol.Best of luck and listen to your body xx

Maybe a late afternoon slot would suit you better you could try asking the nurse ? Best wishes anyway take care.

Hi,

Has your GP checked your folate, iron and Vitamin D levels?

Forum members often report these deficiencies as well as B12 deficiency.

Some people experience a drop in potassium levels when they first start B12 treatment but I think you've been on injections for a while. Some forum members eat potassium rich food such as bananas.

You mentioned on one of your other threads that you were getting injections every 3 months.

The link below outlines two patterns of treatment for B12 deficiency

1) for those without any neuro symptoms

2) for those WITH neuro symptoms

Both treatment patterns allow for maintenance injections to be given every 2 months.

BNF Hydroxocobalamin

If you have neuro symptoms, my understanding is that you should be on the second treatment pattern.

I wondered if you were getting enough B12.

Sounds like you are doing really well. .if in work. The timing of your injection will have to be changed .

How often are you having them.

I can feel very dopey or spaced o the day of injection .

If it makes you feel weary do you pick up and benefit the days following?

Hi

Thankyou but I push myself after my injection as I have to work, but I just feel tired and not with it if that makes sense , I have my injections every 3 months , sometimes it takes a few days to pick up maybe longer sometimes

If I push I literally end up with a migraine or vestibular symptoms and am very ill.

Don't push too hard .

It was in my nature to push through .

I've tried too many times and 'crashed '

So use me as a warning.

Pace .

I'm useless at pacing but have learnt the hard way I have to do it.

You sound as though you need more b12 Injections .

Why not trial 10 weekly

That's what my daughter does.

She's hoping to get 2 monthly soon.

Gp's should do this easily as in their guidelines if any neurological symptoms

They can all prescribe 'off label' if in the patients best interest going by symptoms.

Keep a symptoms chart.

I hope you also have had vit d, foliate, iron checked too.

Take care

Hi morning

Yes I have a headache now, I don’t know what a vestibular migraine is really, but it could be that as it’s not a normal headache, everyone’s advice on here is so helpful as I’m unsure of this b12 and why I have it, I was asking the nurse questions and she couldn’t even answer me, but I know I don’t have regular blood tests , when I first was diagnosed with this my folate was low too so I was on folic acid but as soon as I started my injections I had to stop taking that , I’m taking multivitamins at the moment just to see if that helps . Thankyou again
