Sorry I’m very new to this, since having my course of 6 B12 jabs and taking a daily supplement of 150mcg of B12 I have a lot of wind and mild chest pain mainly on my left side. Is this normal?

I have pernicious anaemia which caused my B12d. PA is caused by the immune system attacking the lining of the stomach causing gastritis and a reduction in the acid produced by the stomach. Insufficient acid causes digestive issues. So I’d say that wind could be considered normal if you have PA.
I’m not aware that chest pain is normal after a course of B12 injections (although a B12d has many and varied symptoms). However, I’d strongly recommend that you ask your doctor to investigate the cause of this.
Thank you JanD236
I spoke to my doctor on Monday who said I do not have PA as tested for intrinsic factor I just have a deficiency (I’m vegan so 🤞 just need supplements) She also said to see how the chest pain goes for a few more days it’s not bad and as it doesn’t occur or get worse when I run she said it could be trapped wind!
Yes, I’ve experienced the same thing! I don’t know how to fix it, and I think it’s actually worse before the B12 shots, but — it’s happened many times now, always intermittently, and like you I also don’t notice a difference based on exercise (or lack thereof).
Let me know if you find any solutions!
