If you HAVE to take a PPI ( proton pump inhibitor) for some reason , then you MUST get your B12 injections back . To prescribe a PP I and take away your b12 injections , when you have Pernicious Anaemia, is sheer madness .

The PPI will totally annihilate any bit of stomach acid that you have , and we all know that a lack of stomach acid and Intrinsic factor causes P.A. Also stomach acid is needed to help to absorb other vitamins and minerals .

Take great care of your health please. That’s especially important during the present pandemic .

You do know how to obtain B12 ampoules from German online pharmacies I hope . If you need to find out , just ask us. Best wishes .

Many thanks wedgewood.I agree entirely but when a G.P prescribes medication a patient is inclined to trust.I have a medical qualification from an age ago so was a bit doubtful.Thank you again.I have some B12 from Germany already but haven’t informed my GP .I will battle on.Best wishes.

As we PAS members know all too well and to the cost of our health , the medical profession has precious little knowledge of Pernicious Anaemia, and don’t seem to want to find out either . We have to watch out for ourselves . It’s not called Pernicious for nothing ! Best of luck in your battle .
