Is it possible not to absorb B12 injections?

Can you get to a point where your body no longer absorbs b12 injections? Reason i ask cause when i barely started injecting about 4 or 5 months ago i was feeling great and my urine was crystal clear. Recently within the last 2 weeks some of my neurological symptoms seem to have come back and my urine is yellow to light orange and all i drink is water. I take 2 injections a week. Is that even possible for that to happen? And i do not have any kidney problems to be causing the discoloration of my urine or have not eaten anything out of the ordinary.

are you taking other vitamin supplements - not sure which one it is but it can change the colour of pee?

Have you been checked to make sure that there isn't another auto-immune condition going on.

If you are drinking more than normal and the pee is slightly cloudy then get checked for diabetes.

I take a folate twice a day. Ive been taking it since i starting injecting about 5 months ago. Yes i have Ulcerative Colitis, horrible disease started all my health issues and reason for me not being able to absorb b12 naturally. I have it under control now and have had it under control for about a year.

Absorption is the process of getting B12 into the body. When you inject there is no absorption as you’re putting it straight into your body.

Fluorescent yellow urine is normally B2.

Have you seen a neurologist? If you’re symptoms are getting worse despite frequent injections then it may be that those symptoms have nothing to do with B12.

Yes i started out with a neurologist before i came to the conclusion of B12 deficiency. Took nearly every test under the sun and they couldnt figure out was wrong with me. At one time they thought i had MS but brain and spinal scan came back clean. There seems to be a pattern going on. I will do really well for like a month and a half and then experience symptoms that last for about a week. This is the 3rd time this has happened and woke up this morning feeling a lot better than how i felt yesterday. Of course yesterday i took an injection. Could this still be part of the healing process? Its been 5 months since my first injection. But what explains the urine color change and the way i feel correlation? By the way my urine is almost normal today.
