Your folate is fine. However, if you want to increase it just take folic acid tablets. 200 mcg or 400 mcg a day should be fine.

My folate and ferritin were never out of range but like yours: originally folate 5.5 ug/L (range 4.6 - 18.7) and ferritin 46.3 ug/L (range 13 - 150).
I had my B12 loading dose then one injection every 3 months. When I had hair loss and bleeding gums, GP put me on 3 month course of folate and ferritin tablets, as she thought they were low enough to cause symptoms. Both happier if folate above 15 and ferritin above 60 ; hard work getting there and staying there, and it made no difference what I ate. Hair stopped falling out and gums stopped bleeding - whether through B12 or ferritin or folate, difficult to say. Oral Medicine consultant would prefer ferritin to be about 80, but unable to get it there no matter how I supplement.
Try starting folic acid tablets at 400 mcg daily. Expect it to take a while to improve and stabilise. Since I was already taking that as part of my multivitamin and mineral daily tablets, I took an extra 400 mcg on top.
Also get vitamin D checked as this can also often be low. I was found to have osteoporosis of the spine, so now get vitamin D on prescription.
