Storage of B12 ampules.

I have been self injecting for yr. Settled at every other day. Since lockdown until last week, fine. Now feeling as if symptoms are returning. More foggy head, head aches, dizzy when standing, very clumsy, feet colder and burning, legs more pins and needles. I have kept my ampules under cool mat in dark corner, but forgot (another symptom!) to check during v. hotspell, until last hot week, when 26 degrees . Would they have deteriorated enough to cause my decline, or is it my declining mood. Hope not, have 180 ampules!!

No, if they're still within their expiry date then they should be fine.

I live in the south of England and I monitored the temperature in the drawer in which I keep my boxes of ampoules during the hot spell last month. Though the room temperature approached 25 degrees Centigrade - in the drawer it was never more than 24 degrees - even then not for more than an hour or so. As even a few hours above the limit would not have caused any significant loss of B12 efficiency I am certain my stock if perfectly OK.

Thanks Bellabab, l keep mine next to a chimney breast, always colder than the room and wrapped. So l will continue to use it. Relief-------.
