Hi, I am new to this forum but have had B12 def PA for 14 years.. I have been having injections at gp every 4 weeks, like every one else due to covid its been a struggle at doctors.. I now self inject as well as having injection at gps every 8 weeks.. (they would not do any regular than that and trust me I had to fight for 8 weeklys). I had routine blood tests in feb which should liver enzymes slightly higher, again in may slighter higher than previous, just had done again last friday and liver enzymes are up again.... has anyone had this? gp is referring me for a liver scan... im so worried havent slept a wink! thanks all

All I do know is ,it is possible lower liver enzymes depending on the cause. Statins or other medication or even 'lifestyle' can be a reason.

I hope going through it all with the doctor you find a way for your liver to recover. Sounds if slightly raised this may be possible.

This is only what I've heard through friends but as we know from forums often a good source .

You did not need the extra stress of your b12 injections being reduced from 4 weekly to 8 weekly.

I find this disturbing and so unnecessary upsetting people and denying treatment as promised before and after so many years!!

Glad you put up a fight .

Hope you get some answers and solutions soon. T c

I had that and they told me fatty liver. I also just saw on one of the Facebook groups the same thing. I wonder if it’s connected!
