Of you do IM the nurses use 23G 1"some use finer 24G. The higher the number the finer the needle. WithIzmtoh have tk be shown. Also dont ho tok fine as it could break. Toh need another needke to draw up b1e as yoh can blink a needke touching the ampoe

I use 21G for that . Medisave or needle exchange toucan geg needles . Swabs army essential bug j used tk the ram! A sharps box. Also 2ml Syringe comparable to needle.

When I say some use finer I didnt mean the nurses. J meant those self injecting.

I I inject subcutaneously using 30G 1" needle. 27-30G suitable I hope toh keep on ag your Gp. A letter is good. B12 is an essential treatment on WHO list.

I bought my sharps boat ghd chemist for 1.70 you tel when full and it is collected.

Or ask Gp for a prescription to self inject. Many do that includng me.

Hope it all goes well.

Sorry about typos . I'm sure you can decipher. Wedgwood has sent a private message I assume so you will have all the info now. It is also on the public forum on other posts .

Hope it goes well.

I personally use a 25G x 1 inch needle to inject . Itā€™s nice and fine . Iā€™ll send you a long information list for first time self injectors. Probably more information than you need , but just pick out the necessary.

Can the information you give stay somewhere on the public forum? Then if anyone asks we can direct straight to your post on say topics.

The same information is given again and again .

Would this be a good idea ?

Fbirder also given a 'shopping list'with links that newbies coukd akso be directed to.

I think that coukd work. Then people like me would just direct to the posts.

Iā€™m too lacking in confidence to put my ā€œhelp sheet ā€œ in the public forum . Its very long and takes up a lot of space. I always send it by private message to people who need it . Iā€™m no scientist and my advice is rather ā€œhomespunā€ Iā€™ll send it to you .

The pandemic is impacting patients' B12 treatment in UK.

I left a detailed reply about impact of pandemic on B12 treatment in UK in next link which might be of interest if you're in UK.

Some UK forum members feel their only option is to self treat when NHS treatment is not enough. My personal opinion is that this is a last resort but I was driven to it when unable to get any B12 treatment from NHS several years ago.

I am not medically trained.
