My tinnitus is very bad and I read that low B12 can make it worse, what should my level be.

Well the serum test isn’t accurate but under 200 you need injections right away but even a level over 400 with symptoms you can be deficient & also have a functional deficiency. Did you get folate & ferritin tested too? They are often low.
Your B12 levels need to be enough.
It's not possible to put exact numbers, or even vague ranges and different labs use different tests and quite results in different units and different ranges.
If you lived in Hull then your levels should be between 115 and 1000 to be normal. Between 115 and 150 you would be classed as possibly deficient.
I have had tinnitus for years, my PA diagnosis and b12 injections have sadly made no difference to the tinnitus.
In UK the range for B12 is 187-883.
So under 187 is deficient with top end of range being 883.
Everyone is different. In some countries your low on B12 under 500 and something.
My tinnitus has definitely improved with B12 injections.
I was on about 135 which is deficient.
I had horrible pulsatile tinnitus. Went to about 80% down with B12 injections, I then added in T4/T3 in small amounts - 1/4 grain and it's gone. Left with a hiss only. As hiss or pulse comes back i know I need more meds. So in short tinnitus can be B12 but also thyroid issues.
