Does anyone experience rib pain at all? I've had this a while, it comes and goes but when it hurts it feels like my bottom ribs are bruised, doesn't hurt generally moving around but if anything touches it then it's like poking a bruise!
I have been to the doctors a couple of times about it but didn't get anywhere had a chest xray which was clear and then told to use ibuprofen gel which helps for the pain but don't want to use it all the time.
I have only just realised today that it's come back and I'll be injecting this weekend so wondering if it is linked to B12 levels.

Hi Clare have a read up on HPylori and see if it matches any of your symtoms it’s quite common,I’ve had it a couple of times and can cause pain in rib area,it’s a simple stool test that your gp can arrange for you.
Thanks thrones I've just had a look and it's more of a tenderness rather than a burning pain, thankfully I don't have any of the gut symptoms either. Wondering now if it's there all the time but I only notice it more when my injection is due
I thought that they did the chest x ray to rule that out but just googled it and apparently that doesn't show up on an x ray so maybe that's it and I need to just use ibuprofen when it's bad. Normally I can just ignore it unless I'm being poked a lot - I have a 7 year old lol
I too experience rib pain in lower right side along with hip and other symptoms prior to being diagnosed with PA. Initially my GP atributed the pain to possible reoccurring nerve pain from shingles I had some years ago but it improved somewhat when my injections commenced. As did the pain in my hips. Hope your discomfort improves too with your b12 treatment.
I have pain which is said to be bone pain or cartilage pain in the middle of my chest and my ribs hurt but not as much as the middle.
I have my b12 dose in a week at my gps but then SI after a month top up. So I don’t know if it’s something when your due for your injection maybe? I’ve always noticed it and get worse before then it settles again.
I’ve had x days and bloods and nothing found with me.
