Hi, I was diagnosed with pernicious anemia last Jan (2019). I had been suffering with anemia for about 5/6 years prior and had tablets and the 4hrs intravenous iron but they didn't last very long. Anyway, went to Drs and had to really argue that it wasnt my age and neither was I depressed! Reluctantly the blood was taken and by that evening I had had a call and 2 weeks of injections for B12 were booked in. However by week 6/8 I feel tired again and the forgetfulness or inability to think of a word never goes away and I wonder if I need regular injections? I get quite grumpy at this time too and can be quite unreasonable and easily offended could this also be a side effect? I was quite I'll during Covid with a chest infection for 3 + weeks and my bloods came back low in B12 which was about week 8 in the cycle of injection (I hope this helps my case to get 2 monthly injections). They also found protein which I think is due to the chest infection. I only found this out today as I was booked in for a blood test today (they called tues) Also they want to check for coeliac??? Sometimes I dont quite feel right like I dont fit into my body but I am putting that down to having to take iron tablets for 3 months and they dont like me much x any thoughts would be great? Many thanks

Surely with your diagnosis you should be having at least 2 monthly b12 injections for life.
I was diagnosed with b12 deficiency in Oct 2018
For the last year I've had 2 weekly and I've just I creased this to every 5-7 days to try and improve.
If you feel you need more you probably do .
