Mixing types of b12

Hi can i have my 3 month methylcobalmin injection at surgery and self inject with hydroxycobalmin in between. Just not sure if i can use two different sorts b12

There is no reason why you shouldn’t use both , but I would just stick to Hydroxocobalamin. There’s no advantage in having methylcobalamin .

I've not heard of anyone else getting a methylcobalamin injection at the surgery...in the UK it is normally hydroxocobalamin though methylcobalamin is closer to the form that it is used in the body.

There are some on here that feel they get a benefit from using two different forms so you won't be alone, and I certainly wouldn't be worried about it.

I’ve been using both for couple of years now as I get different type from Germany where you can buy it over the counter.

Thank you all. I do get methylcobalmin at surgery and I've read that it is most easily absorbed. However it does give me acne so might be better with hydroxycobalmin.
