B12 in US

What are others in the US doing during this time? I am due for a shot on Sunday. This is only two weeks since the last one, and doing it twice a month was just a trial to see if it helped. So, I am comfortable enough waiting a couple of weeks. The doctors offices are getting very strict and may turn away. I am wary of going to a clinic where everyone with anything will be trying to get checked out anyway. I do have a prescription. I was thinking to fill the prescription to have on hand just incase doctors stop seeing non emergent. However I have never self injected, not that the doctors or pharmacy seem to care that I don’t know how. The pharmacy will give me the vial and needle. Thoughts?

Hi, I'm here in the Mid Atlantic area. I was concerned that I would be unable to get my next B12 shot when I needed it, so I decided to get one this week; even though it was less than 3 weeks since my last one. I expected my doctor's office to be packed but when I walked in I was the only patient in the waiting room. I asked the receptionist where everyone was, she said "I don't know." Maybe everyone is afraid to go to their doctors office so they won't be exposed to the coronavirus. Anyway, I got my shot and I'm set for another month. Hopefully this mess will be resolving itself by then.

I am in the US and self inject. I have from the start. A pharmacist showed me how to do it the first time. Utube has great instructions. Good luck and stay safe!

Hi, I live in Wisconsin. I had a shot this week and will have another in a week. My clinic screens everyone before they enter the clinic. You must come alone or with only one other person, if help is needed. When I make my appointment to get my shot, it is to see the nurse only, I do not see my doctor unless I have made an appointment prior to coming. I have never been told that I might not be given my shot. Social distancing, 6 feet away from any other person, is encouraged, along with hand sanitizer before I leave, and I make sure not to touch my face. I am usually in and out of the clinic in 10 to 15 minutes. So far so good.

My appointment for B12 shot was cancelled through e-mail notice. I called and after explaining about being symptomatic they called my doctor and then let me reschedule for the following day. I also have supply at home so I can self administer if necessary.

Hi, where I live there is an “infusion center” and my nurse practitioner actually is on staff there. It’s open to the public and you don’t need a prescription. They do vitamin c ivs and vitamin cocktails as well as B12 amoung other things. So I can get a shot, 3 mg for $20. My only other option now that Europe has dried up is to order from perniciousanemia dot org. I will have to find some saline as it comes in powder form. (I bought one long go and never used it, so I really wanted to ask if anyone has opinions on the site. Is it legit? It would be cheaper than the infusion center.)

So anyway there are two possibilities for you, one I can vouch for and one I can’t.
