Can you develop this ?

I started with a level of 106pg/mL then have had injections. I'm 16m into treatment.

I've been coping with 2 weekly Injections . Did try a 3 week a few times but back to 2 weekly. Not on sc yet ad too symptomatic to make any changes at present but can at the surgery. When I want to. Gp doesnt want me to try 1 weekly again.

I thought functional b12 was when its always been in the normal range or am I wrong. I do understand o ce on injections you need higher levels for some reason.

Snakes and ladders with symptoms. Feeli g a bit stuck again. Everytime I try and do a little more I get ill.still in a 2 mile zone

Tou start questioning everything again.

In the end it would not be that weird if you had something else going on, but it would not make B12 less important.

Like in my case , I skipped routine thyroid tests as I felt so good on B12. Before B12 I had hypo phase which seemed to go away but don't know as I skipped thyroid tests believing it was just B12.

I had not realised I had that thyroid thing when I decided to take a break from my injections. Hyper symptoms has been quite similar to low B12 except I did not experience that fatigue I used to with constant yawning which was telltale symptom I needed an injection. Because of that symptom disappearing I thought I did not need B12! It was not about symptom improving it was sign of something else going wrong.

So I believe it can be a rocky road as people tend to have co-existing things going on.

You might have functional B12 deficiency but you can have functional something else at the same time. There is no rule about functional stuff to be limited to one thing ;)

Naturally as you have been tested for many things. So was I yet I had so many things going on , B12 only fixed things to a certain point as it only affects certain functions in your body.

But I wonder , took a look at your old postings and saw you have had concussion, was it bad concussion ?Head trauma can cause a havoc. I had concussion at young age and it might have played a part in my poor health.

Yes I've often thought about what involvement it might have had. I seemingly re covered from a bad fall. No sickness was not unconscious but hit my face hard on concrete.

It was the neurologist that thought it was the cause for variety migrain ans light sensitive it and virtigo. It was 5 weeks after I collapsed and then virtigo.

2 other neurologists thought b12 issues .

So I will never know it seems.

O ly thi g thars helped is b12 I jections so far to treat the only diagnosis I have .

Thank you
