Positive test for Lupus.

Hi all, I posted recently about a positive test for Lupus, and my GP, ignoring it.

Well a quick update. I had a phone call today from the surgery with an appointment to see a rheumatologist in 6 weeks time.

Thanks to all on here for the valuable information, and helpful advice.

Good luck to you all.

Hi Mannequin18. I'm so pleased and relieved to hear this.

Don't think I said in my last reply but if you look on the Lupus UK website there's a very good information sheet about appointments which includes tips about preparation (I gave you a few) and, more pertinently, a list of suggested questions that you may like to ask the rheumatologist in order to get the best out of your appointment (time is likely to be short so squeeze as much out of the time as possible 😉).

I know that six weeks will feel like a long time to wait but your GP has done well to get an appointment in six weeks...many wait for months or even longer than a year to be seen.

Again, really pleased for you.

Very best of luck and let us know how you get on xx

Hi Foggyme, thank you. And for all your very good advice, which I will definitely take.

That is a really good idea to prepare for the appointment, as you say, time is precious and short, I have to make the most of my appointment.
