b12 makes me ichy

i take chewable tablets 1.000 mg but i get ichy on hands and neck my b12 is 259 180-900] is the normall . can i raise with meat and diet ? without medication .. anyone else had a reactin ? how did you raise b12pls

About the itch, it could be something else than the b12 in the tablets. If so, a different brand might work better. If you have an absorption problem you'll need injections or strong tablets. If not, b12-rich food might be enough.

is from b12 as i stop and start again and same thing happens i get ichy hands and arms

OK. What I thought of was that sometimes there might be a flavouring or colour or other additive in the tablet that could possibly be the cause of the reaction. But it also happens that people have an oversensitivity reaction to the cobalt in the b12 vitamin itself.

Do you know if you have an absorption problem for b12?

i have stomach acids and it was down to 101 whwn i was tested my doctor wouldent treat me with any b12 saying is not a promplem any way i am medicating my self as i change few doctors they have same oppinion and i am having promplems with rushes i also changed brands and now i am trying to eat meat eggs and see if i can raise it is now 259 still low
