I came across an interesting article called The Fire Within from John Hopkins about peripheral neuropathy. It only mentions b12 briefly but what I found interesting was a description of an objective method to detect and evaluate peripheral neuropathy using skin biopsies. I imagine it would be easier to get the right treatment (enough b12) with a skin biopsy that objectively proves that you suffer from peripheral neuropathy. Has anyone tried it?

“Skin biopsies can tell us exactly how much neuropathy you have, but they don’t tell us anything about the cause,” says Ahmet Hoke, a professor of neurology and another of the study’s authors. “The blood work becomes key. The blood work helps us establish the etiology.“
